This has been one of the more challenging tournaments I’ve ever played in my life, considering the circumstances, not playing last year, coming back this year. What happened 12 months ago was not easy to digest for some time but at the same time I had to move on. We have different circumstances and measures (to other countries) so it's very difficult to think of international standards (regarding the pandemic), we've had better numbers compared to some other countries. I had a telephone conversation with the leaders of world tennis. There were talks about the continuation of the season, mostly about the U.S. Open due in late August, but it's not known whether it will be held, the rules that they told us that we would have to respect to be there, to play at all, they are extreme. We would not have access to Manhattan, we would have to sleep in hotels at the airport, to be tested twice or three times per week.

We were very pleased when we heard the reception the fans gave to the Croatians and the respect they showed for their national anthem, that’s something that you don’t see very often because the wounds of the war are still fresh and we are very happy with the way these people showed their support. They fully deserve to have this event.

When you play Roger, it's always a great challenge, if you want to win you have to play your best tennis against Roger in the finals of any event, but here particularly because I feel this is the kind of surface and conditions that suit his game best.

Mangling my racket and an odd swearword on the court is not something I am proud of and it shouldn't happen, but even my coaches have told me that it's sometimes better to let it all out, the anger inside you, because keeping it bottled would just eat you up in the long term.

I had tough couple of days. But it's all behind me now. I'm ready for the Australian Open, little bit with the flu and stomach. But I carried that already from the Middle East.

The dominance of first of all Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal over the years was fantastic. Then Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic, we got into the mix and us four have been winning most of the big events in the last six, seven, eight years, now it's normal to expect that there is a new generation of players, younger players that are right at the top like Kei Nishikori, Milos Raonic,( Grigor) Dimitrov who have the quality to win against the best and they have done that.

Boris Becker and Stefan Edberg, Boris Becker and Stefan Edberg are a little bit older, have kids a little bit older, Boris Becker and Stefan Edberg are open to travel. I am not into traveling at the moment, at least more than a couple of weeks a year, the captaincy is not something I am really interested in either.
